Wycombe Wanderers v Burton Albion tips – Hasselbaink set to start with defeat
Wycombe are flying in League Two and can beat the off-colour Brewers tonight
November 17th, 2014
Jimmy-Floyd Hasselbaink is the new manager of Burton Albion following the departure of Gary Rowett to Birmingham, with the former Leeds United striker looking to make his mark with the Midlands club.
He takes the reins of a team who sit sixth in the table although the Brewers’ form has actually dipped in the last couple of months, with Albion losing eight of their last twelve games in all competitions.
Burton were on the receiving end of a 5-0 trouncing at the hands of Barnsley in the FA Cup last weekend and the bookies make them 5/2 outsiders to claim victory against a side who can go top with a win this evening.
Wycombe are something of a surprise package this term, although the Chairboys come into this game after consecutive wins at Oxford and Barnet, with Gareth Ainsworth’s side faring very well at the moment.
Paul Hayes is scoring plenty at League Two level and it appears the bookies might have overplayed the managerial debut of Hasselbaink and underrated the chances of Wanderers as a result.
We really like the 6/5 with bet365 that Wycombe claim the spoils considering Burton have conceded nine goals in their past three away matches.
