West Ham v West Brom betting tips – Baggies can salvage an away point
Baggies look worth backing to avoid defeat at Upton Park this weekend
November 27th, 2015
West Ham’s recent form looks to be going off the boil completely of late and while it was extremely unlikely that they could continue their blistering start to the campaign which saw them triumph at Arsenal, Manchester City and Liverpool, a 4-0 defeat to Spurs at White Hart Lane and defeat to newly-promoted Watford would suggest that the Hammers’s brilliance on the road has completely disappeared.
Admittedly, West Ham’s form at the Boleyn has been particularly solid and the side are undefeated in their East London home since losing 4-3 to Bournemouth near the start of the campaign, although that certainly doesn’t make them certainties to win against the Baggies on Sunday, especially at odds of 23/20 with Coral.
The reason for that is simple: There isn’t anything wrong with the Baggies right now, as demonstrated by their 2-1 defeat of Arsenal at the weekend, the side fighting their back into things after going a goal behind and solidly defending their lead throughout the second half.
This was the first time that West Brom had conceded but avoided defeat since Tony Pulis took the reins and this will have boosted morale no end. Indeed, West Brom sit a relatively healthy 12th in the Premier League table with only four points separating them from the Hammers and their record away from home would encourage us to think that they can grab something this weekend.
Indeed, three of the Baggies’ five wins this season have been away from the Hawthorns with 1-0 wins against Norwich, Aston Villa and Stoke City and Tony Pulis will be quietly confident that he can add to this list with a win at Upton Park on Sunday afternoon.
Indeed, Slaven Bilic has a huge job trying to lift his Hammers side following their 4-0 thrashing to Spurs last weekend and we feel that the Baggies look good to at least manage a point on their weekend travels. West Brom to win is 31/10 with BetVictor.
