West Ham v QPR tips – Hammers heading for big win
Sam Allardyce’s team should make short work of a struggling Rangers side
October 1st, 2014
Harry Redknapp won’t be best pleased with a return of four points from six matches, with QPR experiencing defeat in all three of their away matches to date.
After 4-0 trouncings at the hands of Tottenham and Manchester United, a trip to St Mary’s saw Rangers prove far more competitive, although no sooner had Charlie Austin restored parity had Graziano Pelle scored what turned out to be the winner for Southampton.
A trip to Upton Park precedes games against Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea, meaning it’s important to get a positive result from this London derby although losing Loic Remy to the latter was a blow for the club.
In addition, conceding goals is proving a problem, with thirteen shipped in those six matches despite the arrival of Steven Caulker and Rio Ferdinand.
West Ham have had a mixed bag of results so far although they were unlucky to lose at Old Trafford last weekend, having previously beaten Liverpool 3-1 and a repeat of that performance could be enough to get over the line here.
Diafra Sakho has scored in each of his last four matches for the Hammers and can be backed at 6/1 with Ladbrokes to score the first goal of this game, with Enner Valencia also likely to pose problems for a creaking rearguard.
William Hill offer an attractive 19/20 about the Hammers claiming three points and it’s hard to bet against the home win, with Rangers struggling for form ever since losing to Hull on the opening day of the season.
