West Brom v West Ham tips – Hammers too big for victory at The Hawthorns
Fifth-placed West Ham don’t lose too many matches under Sam Allardyce
December 1st, 2014
West Ham could be faring even better if they had been able to enjoy the services of Diafra Sakho for the last few games, although the Senegal forward’s ongoing back complaint means that he’s a major doubt for Tuesday’s match at The Hawthorns.
Enner Valencia is also set to miss out, although we still fancy the London side to get a positive result at The Hawthorns, with bet365 going 11/5 that they follow up Saturday’s win against Newcastle with another three points.
Indeed, a 2-1 reverse at Goodison Park is the only occasion where West Ham have lost in the last seven matches, with Andy Carroll now back in the team, while Aaron Cresswell continues to impress in the left-back position.
Morgan Almafitano and Stewart Downing are having good seasons and the former will line up against his old club, with the Frenchman having spent last season with the Baggies on loan.
Alan Irvine’s team have only won one of their seven matches at The Hawthorns this term and it’s hard to fancy them for victory as a result, with the Midlands side having failed to score in any of the last three matches.
Saido Berahino has not scored since 25 October and we have to think the visitors can prevent him and his team-mates from scoring, with the Draw No Bet market providing some extra insurance.
