West Brom v Tottenham Hotspur tips: Back Spurs and a clean sheet at the Hawthorns
An impressive West Brom will find the going tough when Spurs come to town on Saturday afternoon
October 14th, 2016
West Bromwich Albion have enjoyed an impressive, if not spectacular start to the season with a mere two defeats in their opening seven Premier League outings and Tony Pulis is effectively putting two fingers up at those who confidently predicted that he would be the first top-flight manager to be given the heave-ho and that his Baggies side would quickly become relegation candidates.
Clearly there is still much of the season left to play although the new summer signings have lifted the side into the top half of the table and they are now displaying a more attractive style week after week.
Unfortunately we won’t be seeing much evidence of this on Saturday afternoon when the Baggies welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Hawthorns and unfortunately for the hosts, it will be a home defeat for Tony Pulis’ men.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been making a habit out of dominating against teams which sit back and invite attackers. This proved to be the case at Stoke City earlier in the season when the Potters were thrashed to the tune of 4-0 at the Britannia.
Spurs will also be in high spirits following their excellent 2-0 victory over Manchester City at White Hart Lane prior to the international break and with their unbeaten run now standing at seven Premier League games, we’ll be backing them to bag an eighth on Saturday afternoon and deny the Baggies a consolation goal into the bargain.
