West Brom v Burnley tips – another bore draw on the cards
A tight Clarets defence gives Sean Dyche’s team a chance of victory
September 26th, 2014
Burnley defenders weren’t too popular as fantasy football picks at the beginning of the season, although the Clarets have been running one of the tightest ships in the Premier League after consecutive shut-outs against Manchester United, Sunderland and Crystal Palace.
The only problem is that three clean sheets against the above teams has only yielded three points, with Danny Ings and Sam Vokes currently on the sidelines and a distinct lack of goals in the team.
Indeed, since Scott Arfield opened the scoring against Chelsea, Burnley have drawn four consecutive blanks and it was the same player that missed a penalty at Selhurst Park.
Even so, Dyche remains optimistic that his team can score the goals which will help them to survival this term and there is every reason why they can get a slice of the pie at The Hawthorns.
West Brom’s victory at White Hart Lane last weekend was certainly a morale-booster for the Midlands side although it’s a different story when it comes to serving up the match to visiting opponents and this Burnley defence is getting on for 300 minutes of football without conceding.
Therefore, Under 2.5 Goals has to be the call at tempting odds of 3/4 and we’re even drawn in by the prospect of No Goalscorer in this game at 7/1.
The Baggies are certainly not banker material at even money, with the visitors slowly building confidence that they can live with teams at this level.
Under 2.5 Goals @ 3/4
No Goalscorer @ 7/1
