Watford v West Brom tips – Back Baggies to Bounce Back
West Brom can bounce back from their opening day defeat to Manchester City with a win at Vicarage Road
August 14th, 2015
Watford host their first game at Vicarage Road since their return to the top flight when they go head-to-head with a West Brom side still reeling from their 3-0 defeat to Manchester City last weekend.
The Premier League was never going to be an easy place for the Hornets to be as a new manager coupled with an influx of new players changed the dynamic of a side which finished runners-up to Bournemouth in last season’s Championship under the guidance of Slavisa Jovanovic.
Quique Flores took the reins during the summer and he was joined by no less than ten new summer signings, these including Matej Vydra, Etienne Capoue, Valon Behrami, Steven Berghuis, Jose Jurado and Allan Nyom.
Quique’s side twice took the lead against Everton last weekend and following this relatively decent result, Vicarage Road is certain to be in good voice for this opening home game although Albion will be determined to spoil their party.
Spoil it they will as Tony Pulis looks to beat down the hosts with Rickie Lambert operating as a lone forward. It certainly won’t be an exciting match to watch and we’re not expecting too may goals but three points is three points and that is what the Baggies will be celebrating come the final whistle.
