Liverpool’s season so far has been one of inconsistency and the Reds need to bounce back from some disappointing results when they make the journey to Watford’s Vicarage Road on Sunday afternoon.

Klopp started his tenure at Anfield in decent fashion with wins in all but one of their first eight games under his control, a tremendous run which involved wins at Manchester City, Chelsea and Southampton. Nevertheless, defeat to Newcastle United and a home draw to West Brom is witness to their recent fall back to earth, although Klopp was pleased with the fighting spirit of his men as they fought their way back from behind to claim a share of the spoils against the Baggies.

“We should defend better, absolutely correct. We all know this and we will work on for it for sure,” he said to LiverpoolFC.com. “But we came back and that is the most important thing. There was a big, big mentality and a challenge with tired legs against this opponent. We deserved that point and sometimes one point is worth more than three in a bad game.”

The Liverpool boss may be confident that he can turn things around again, however the Reds desperately need to make a return to winning ways and keep apace with the top four in the Premier League table. Sunday’s encounter at Vicarage Road will present them with a perfect chance to close the gap on the league leaders and the bookies make the visitors favourites to seal the points, BetVictor offering Evens for a Liverpool win this weekend.

Nevertheless, we don’t for a second believe that the Reds will have things their own way and they will be facing a Hornets side who will be brimming with confidence following three successive victories in the top flight.

The Watford fans have been starved of goals this season with just six hitting the back of the net at Vicarage Road in the last eight games with six conceded. Only one Watford home game has involved goals for both sides, we would normally be tempted to back a low-scoring clash. Nevertheless, the Reds have been scoring aplenty under Klopp with few clean sheets at the other end. As such, we’ll be going for a Liverpool win with both teams scoring at 10/1 with Boylesports.
