Watford v Brighton & Hove Albion Preview and Tips
Watford can keep their unbeaten run going at home to the Seagulls this weekend
August 25th, 2017
Watford were being largely written off in most circles following their appointment of Marco Silva as manager during the summer, however his arrival now seems to have been an inspired move by the Hornets hierarchy who are giving a good impression of actually knowing what they are doing.
The side are now very well established in the top-flight and have a decent manager at the helm. Their new-player signings are becoming more and more considered and less knee-jerk with each passing campaign and all-in-all the club appears to be moving very much in the right direction.
Andre Grey and Nathaniel Chalobah are clearly the ‘hype’ players of the moment but some exciting new recruits look set to set the pulses racing at Vicarage Road, most notably winger Richardson and right-back Kiko Femenia. Both players have already made their presence felt with the Hornets collecting four points from opening two Premier League outings and this weekend’s clash with Brighton is expected to be a much easier affair than Liverpool or Bournemouth with another three points looking set to be added to Watford’s total.
Chris Hughton’s Seagulls look somewhat out of their depth in the Premier League at this early stage of the campaign and having offered little resistance to Manchester City and Leicester City in their opening two games, we envisage the visitors going down to another defeat to a Watford side which look overpriced at Evens to win this weekend.
