Wales v Slovakia betting tips – Bale set to win Group B opener for Welsh
Gareth Bale can demonstrate his star quality when Wales line up against Slovakia in this opening game
June 9th, 2016
Wales are turning out at a major tournament for the first time since 1958, with Chris Coleman hoping to steer the Reds through the group stage and into the knockout phase of the competition.
The Welsh have been handed a favourable opener against a modest Slovakia side who are typically hard-working, while they can call upon the talented Marek Hamsik to pull the strings in midfield.
However, Wales can trump that particular ace by fielding Gareth Bale, a global superstar who can count on one hand the players that are more talented than him in the entire world.
Bale can do everything and effectively makes this Welsh team twice as good as they would be without his services. While Aaron Ramsey is a classy operator in midfield the remainder of the team are fairly modest but their star player will lift them from mediocrity.
We can expect this clash to be tight considering England and Russia loom on the horizon, with Slovakia looking to make a fast start and then sit tight on their lead although Ashley Williams should marshal a defence which doesn’t give much away.
If Wales win the game, it will almost certainly be the case that Bale has played a part in proceedings and we’re happy to get with a 1-0 winning scoreline and also a little dabble on Bale to score first and the score to finish 1-0.
