Who knows what Tottenham will do this season. Gylfi Sigurdsson was a classy midfielder who has returned to Swansea and there was an element of fortune about last weekend’s 1-0 win at Upton Park.
It’s certainly difficult to back Spurs at odds of 1/2 on Sunday as Harry Redknapp returns to a happy former stomping ground, having helped Tottenham into the Champions League before being controversially replaced by Andre Villas-Boas.
Mauricio Pochettino hasn’t spent big bucks this summer, with Ben Davies arriving for £10 million although the former Swansea defender was on the bench at Upton Park as the Argentine looks to squeeze the most out of the summer signings from twelve months ago.
QPR will include former Spurs defender Steven Caulker and Pochettino would probably like to have him operating at the back for Tottenham, while Loic Remy looks increasingly likely to stay put and help his team stay in the Premier League.
Rangers aren’t the worst 7/1 shots in the world and Charlie Austin will be determined to make amends for that penalty miss last weekend, with Rio Ferdinand bringing plenty of organization to the defence and perhaps we could see the visitors take home at least a point.
