Swansea v Liverpool tips: Red-hot Reds to extend winning run
Jurgen Klopp's men will be looking to extend their winning run to five matches when they head to south Wales on Saturday lunchtime
September 30th, 2016
The Reds have enjoyed an excellent start to 2016/17, the only slip-up being the surprise 2-0 defeat to new-boys Burnley , however with six wins from their eight games so far this season they will be brimming with confidence ahead of this weekend’s clash with Swansea City.
Fourteen goals scored and three conceded in four outings is an impressive statistic and having beaten the previous two Premier League champions – namely Leicester City and Chelsea – as part of that impressive run, we don’t envisage the Swans causing them too many problems this weekend.
Swansea City are struggling badly at the moment with just a single point won since their opening day win at Burnley and their form at the Liberty Stadium is pretty dire to say the least. The future of manager Francesco Guidolin is the topic of discussion at the moment and the speculation is that Ryan Giggs or Bob Bradley could be approached. A win is a must then!
Nevertheless losing to a Liverpool side in top form would be no disgrace but it would further pile the pressure on both manager and team, therefore they desperately need to start winning points although we’re not optimistic about their chances of doing it this weekend. Despite being the visitors, Liverpool are firm favourites to win at 9/20 with BetVictor and we share the bookies’ confidence that this will prove to be the case.
This is a far from lucrative price but you can still back the red-hot Reds and receive a decent return by looking elsewhere. We don’t need to look too far with Boylesports going a healthy 19/10 for Liverpool to win and both teams to score. The Reds have been having few problems finding the net but they are far from solid at the back and have failed to manage a single clean-sheet in the Premier League since the start of the campaign. Liverpool will win on Saturday but the hosts will have a consolation goal to cheer them up slightly.
One of the best business dealings of the summer transfer market was the capture of Sadio Mane and the Senegalese player has proven to be a hit on Merseyside with some excellent performances and a few goals into the bargain. With goals in two of his last three Liverpool appearances in the Premier League, he makes perfect sense at the attractive price of 7/5 with Ladbrokes on the anytime goalscorer market.
