This could prove to be a damp squib of a match or it could equally turn out to be an exciting win-at-all-costs affair. Anything but a win for the home side could prove extremely costly for Swans boss Bob Bradley.

The American hasn’t been at the Liberty Stadium for very long, indeed it seems like only five minutes since his arrival in South Wales although the bookies are confidently predicting that he will be the next Premier League manager to be given the boot. Is this such a huge surprise given that Swansea City have been utterly dreadful this season?

The Swans suffered a 5-0 thrashing at Tottenham Hotspur in their last Premier League match and with just two league victories under his belt, Bob shouldn’t be surprised to find himself in the firing line at the moment.

A win against Sunderland in front of the home fans would do much to lift the pressure somewhat, however the visiting side will be brimming with confidence having shown signs of improvement recently. The Black Cats head into this clash on the back of some decent form which has seen the side manage three wins in their previous four outings. Indeed their only defeat during this time was at Anfield where high-flying Liverpool took a full 75 minutes to break the deadlock.

David Moyes’ men won 2-1 against fallen Premier League champions Leicester City last weekend and this will undoubtedly have boosted confidence even further in the Sunderland camp, therefore we firmly believe that the visitors can haul themselves out of the bottom three by sealing a maximum points haul at the Liberty Stadium this weekend. A clean sheet for the Black Cats would be icing on the cake, but given that Swansea put five past an admittedly dreadful Crystal Palace defence in their last outing, we expect a consolation goal for the hosts at the very least.
