Swansea City v Manchester City tips: Back City goals in south Wales
Man City's winning run rumbles on and the Swans won't be stopping it on Wednesday evening
September 20th, 2016
Pep Guardiola appears to have made a massive impact on Manchester City following his arrival at the Etihad Stadium during the summer. Indeed with eight wins from their opening eight games, Manchester City look to be genuine Premier League title contenders and the fact that they have yet to drop any points in the top-flight means that we don’t have any hesitation whatsoever in backing them to win their EFL Cup clash with Manchester City on Wednesday evening.
Nevertheless it is the manner in which City win games that is leading us to back them on the handicap market on Wednesday evening and the big surprise is that the handicap prices are so generous for the visitors given that of their eight matches in all competitions this season, only one of them have contained less than three goals with their last two outings resulting in 4-0 wins for the Citizens.
It is expected that Guardiola will rotate a few of his key players for this match at the Liberty Stadium, however this won’t necessarily result in a much-weakened side with Kelechi Iheanacho likely to make a start, the Nigerian scoring twice in two outings whilst deputising for Sergio Aguero.
Leroy Sane should also make an appearance for Manchester City on Wednesday evening and whilst Swansea boss Francesco Guideline will also be looking at making a few changes, they certainly won’t be of the same calibre to those of the visitors.
Can the Swans stop the City juggernaut in this midweek clash? We don’t believe so and this should result in a relatively comfortable victory for Guardiola’s men on Wednesday evening.
