Stoke City v Swansea City tips – Back goals at the Britannia
Expect a few goals when Stoke City welcome Swansea City to the Britannia Stadium tonight
October 31st, 2016
Both the Potters and the Swans are fighting it out close to the foot of the Premier League table and as such they will both be desperate to pick up a maximum points haul when they go head-to-head this evening.
Stoke City are in a far better position than their south Wales opponents thanks to their four-game unbeaten run which saw them seal two draws and two vital wins heading into tonight’s encounter. Swansea have managed just a single victory and two draws since the start of the season. We don’t expect this situation to improve much for the visitors when they head to the Potteries tonight.
Both defences have been far from solid this season, however both Swansea and Stoke have been pretty proficient up front and as such we should witness a few goals in this match. Stoke City are threatening from set-play as well as in the air and should prove too strong for the visitors this evening.
Nevertheless, Swansea can call on such players as Modou Barrow, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Kyle Naughton, these likely to prove influential. Stoke’s Joe Allen and Xherdan Shaqiri should also play their part in what looks set to be a thoroughly entertaining affair.
We do expect both sides to find the net, however whilst we believe that Stoke City is more likely to seal the points, we cannot back them with any confidence to do just that. The draw is up for grabs at 13/5 with BetVictor but we’ll be backing Over 2.5 total goals which at odds of 10/11 with Betfair looks like a bit of a steal to us.
