Southampton continue to be the surprise package of the Premier League this term, sitting second in the table and the only side bar Chelsea who have actually shown some consistency when it comes to winning games.

Ronald Koeman surely can’t believe how fast a start this new-look Southampton team is making considering the mass exodus in the summer, with the Hampshire club landing a 1-0 win at the KC Stadium last weekend which means a return of 22 points from 10 matches.

This game looks straightforward enough on paper, with Boylesports offering a best price 40/85 about a win for the Saints although we know that Leicester will come to St Mary’s in search for a point and Nigel Pearson is massively determined to stop the rot.

The Foxes lost by the odd goal at home to West Brom last weekend and have certainly lost some of that early season zing which saw the Midlands side claim draws against Everton and Arsenal before beating Manchester United.

Indeed, since winning at Stoke, they have lost all three away matches and failed to score a goal which means there could be value in backing Koeman’s side to win without conceding.

Boylesports go 6/4 about a win to nil for Saints, with the defence being underrated considering that Graziano Pelle has been dominating the headlines, although Fraser Forster has been keeping clean sheets aplenty since the season began.

Since the 8-0 win against Sunderland, then you can be sure that Southampton’s card has been marked although a 1-0 or 2-0 win look worth backing considering that Leicester have lost their way after a bright start.
