Schalke v Chelsea tips – Blues set to beat Di Matteo’s team
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea clicking into gear and should claim victory against Schalke

Chelsea are virtually home and hosed where the Premier League title is concerned, with the only points dropped coming against the Manchester clubs on the road.
The Blues have a flawless domestic record at Stamford Bridge this term although it’s not the same in the Champions League where Schalke actually claimed an unlikely point in September.
Since then, former Chelsea boss Roberto di Matteo has taken charge of Schalke who are scoring plenty of goals but also conceding them, as could be seen from a 4-2 reverse against Sporting as well as last weekend’s 3-2 victory against Wolfsburg.
Mourinho might decide to give Diego Costa a rest for this match although William Hill’s 5/6 still looks too good to pass up, with Cesc Fabregas claiming that Saturday’s first-half performance against West Brom was as good as it gets.
“I don’t think I am exaggerating if I don’t remember playing and enjoying a football match as much as I did personally in the first half,” he said.
“We played outstanding football. It is always difficult after internationals because the team doesn’t have time to work on many things and prepare the game but I enjoyed it a lot, particularly the first 45 minutes.
“Some people who didn’t watch the game will think 2-0, it was just an okay game but it was much more than that.
“It was a beautiful performance, very consistent, a clean sheet, we created plenty of chances and we had control of the game.
“That is why I think we need to be more effective in front of goal and score more goals and send an even bigger message to our opponents.”
