Rotherham United v Burton Albion tips: Championship strugglers will share spoils on Thursday evening
The Millers are bottom of the Championship table and their situation won't be improving much when they welcome Burton Albion to the New York Stadium

Rotherham United are having a pretty tough time of things as we approach the half-way point of the season. Nine points separate the Millers from safety and we’re not too optimistic about their chances of climbing our of the mire any time soon.
Nevertheless the South Yorkshire outfit have been trying their best to climb away from the foot of the table and they have helped their cause with some decent recent results. Rotherham suffered a defeat to Burton earlier this month with this result extending their winless run to fifteen matches, however the arrival of new manager Paul Warne has resulted in an upturn of fortunes and they head into Thursday evening’s match on the back of a decent run which includes wins over Queens Park Rangers and Wigan Athletic.
Burton Albion aren’t doing much better in all honesty and recent results have sent them sliding slowly towards the relegation zone. Indeed the Brewers have managed just a solitary victory in their last nine Championship games with just three points being secured away from home so far this season. Nevertheless whilst the Millers have triumphed in their last two matches at the New York Stadium, we’re not too confident of either side’s chances of securing the three points on Thursday, given that this is likely to be an extremely cagey affair.
Clearly neither side will be wanting to lose this encounter with defeat for Burton likely to see them fall further towards the bottom three and a loss for the Millers further piling the pressure on Warne’s men, therefore a low-scoring bore-draw looks likely to ensue and we’ll be playing it safe and backing a stalemate at the New York Stadium on Thursday evening.
