QPR v Manchester City tips – back Rangers to avoid defeat
Queens Park Rangers can take full advantage of a City team experiencing a big wobble
November 7th, 2014
Manchester City were somewhat fortunate that Chris Smalling pressed the self-destruct button on Sunday, with Manuel Pellegrini’s team winning the derby although they once again failed in Europe when losing to CSKA Moscow on Wednesday.
It’s back to the drawing board for City when it comes to an assault on the Champions League and the last thing they need is a Saturday trip to London to face a spirited QPR side starting to believe in themselves after a slow start to the campaign.
Rangers only narrowly lost at Stamford Bridge on Saturday after comprehensively beating Aston Villa in their previous game and we should note they were the better team when losing 3-2 to Liverpool.
Therefore, it could be worth taking a punt on the 7/1 with BetVictor that Harry Redknapp’s side get over the line in this game, although perhaps some punters will find it a tall order to back Rangers to get all three points.
Even so, with odds of 19/10 about QPR winning OR the draw, that is a price worth taking with Boylesports, especially with Eduardo Vargas posing problems for the Hoops and Charlie Austin enjoying a fine run of scoring form.
Sergio Aguero is the obvious danger man for the Citizens although West Ham managed to keep the Argentine quiet a fortnight ago, with Yaya Toure not proving to be as effective as last term.
