QPR v Aston Villa tips – back the draw on Monday night
Villa looking to stop the rot against a Rangers team who played well against Liverpool
October 26th, 2014
Aston Villa supporters enjoyed the opening few games of the season although the last four matches have seen the Midlands club beaten without scoring a goal.
While that sounds like a damning stat, the fact that it was Arsenal, Everton, Manchester City and Chelsea that dished out those beatings makes it easier for the fans to bear and Monday’s game represents a chance for Paul Lambert’s team to stop the rot.
Coral offer 12/5 about the visitors triumphing at Loftus Road, with Christian Benteke back to spearhead the attack and it surely won’t be long before the Belgian starts getting among the goals.
Ladbrokes go 6/1 that Benteke breaks the deadlock against a QPR side who have kept just one clean sheet all season, with Harry Redknapp left tearing his hair out after a 3-2 reverse at the hands of Liverpool eight days ago.
Redknapp needs a positive result to avoid being cut adrift at the foot of the Premier League and they won’t have many better chances of winning all season, with Paddy Power offering 7/5 about a home win.
However, can we really trust QPR based on their form and performances this term? The plain answer is no and we will be having a small bet on the 23/10 with Boylesports that the game ends all square.
