Preston North End v Bolton Wanderers Tips – Preston can continue their fine Deepdale form
Preston North End will look to climb further away from the bottom of the Championship table when they lock horns with Bolton North End on Saturday afternoon.
October 29th, 2015
With the appointment of former Celtic boss Neil Lennon at Bolton, there were many who believed that he could lift them back into the Premier League, however things are definitely not going to plan.
The Lancashire side are sitting firmly at the bottom of the league table with a mere nine points from their opening 13 games with just one win to their name.
Their only win so far in the second tier has been a 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers early last month, however they have since gone seven games without a single win and head into this weekend’s clash on the back of a 1-1 stalemate with Leeds United.
Indeed, they will be desperate to clinch for themselves a second win of the season, although they will struggle against a Preston North End side who started the campaign in less than convincing fashion but have since recovered to climb up to 19th in the Championship table. The Lilywhites were looking condemned to a season of struggle at one point but have now gone five games with just one defeat, their last win being a 3-0 victory over Charlton Athletic. They have drawn their last three league games at Deepdale and head into this weekend’s game on the back of a 0-0 draw at Brighton.
This is a very close match to call. Neither side are flying high in the division and a mere three points separate the sides heading into this encounter, therefore we feel that home advantage will play a huge part and the hosts can make it four Championship wins at home on Saturday afternoon.
