The FA Cup third round replays produced a couple of upsets last night as Sutton United scored two late goals to move into the fourth round of the competition at the expense of AFC Wimbledon and National League side Lincoln City knocked Championship outfit Ipswich Town out of contention with a stoppage time goal. Will the shocks continue tonight at Home Park? We don’t believe so.

One could argue that Liverpool were unlucky not to beat the Pilgrims at Anfield in their last meeting, however on that occasion Klopp opted to field a young and relatively inexperienced line-up for much of the match. He won’t be doing that tonight.

Sturridge, Lallana and Firmino will almost certainly make the starting line-up and it will be ‘backs against the wall’ for the hosts as the Reds look to seal an early advantage. Indeed an early goal for the visitors would almost certainly see the floodgates open and this is the approach that Klopp will be wanting to see.

Indeed when the Merseysiders manage to break through against weaker opposition they tend to go on to dominate and this is very much what we expect to see tonight. Plymouth Argyle may have flattered to deceive at Anfield but they were put under huge pressure and could consider themselves lucky to be given a second chance.

Ultimately it will come to nothing. Home Park will be bulging at the seams with a capacity crowd tonight and the coffers will certainly be healthier but progress for the hosts in this competition won’t be forthcoming and a one-sided match should see the Reds bang in a few without reply.
