They may be favourites, but Premier League outfit West Brom are in for a tough time on Wednesday when they go head-to-head once again with League One side Peterborough United in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Saido Berahino scored twice in the original tie last month, however this proved insufficient to knock the lower-league opponents out of the competition, the visitors twice pulling their way back into contention from a goal behind to force the Baggies to settle for a replay.

Indeed, Berahino’s inclusion in the starting eleven was a surprise, given that he has been far from his best this season and has made his wishes to leave the Hawthorns very clear indeed. Nevertheless, the decision by manager Tony Pulis to include the 22-year-old was vindicated when Berahino opened the scoring in the 14th minute.

This looked set to be the winning goal until Shaquile Coulthirst levelled for the visitors with just eleven minutes left to play. Berahino put the hosts in front again in the 84th minute but some dreadful Baggies defending gifted the Posh a chance to level once again and it was left to Jon Taylor to slot home to force a replay at London Road.

The result of this stalemate was a chorus of boos from the home support and with West Brom’s recent form causing some concern at the Hawthorns, we believe that another stalemate is a very real possibility on Wednesday night.

West Brom start as 15/13 favourites to win in ninety minutes, a decent price for the Premier League side, although given their recent form, we’re reluctant to back them in this match. Indeed, the Posh have little or nothing to lose and having already found a way past the Baggies defence and into the back of the net twice, Peterborough will be confident that they can swerve a defeat in normal time and force another 30 minutes of play. We share this confidence and will be backing the match to end in a draw at odds of 5/2 with Winner.

That’s not to say that Peterborough will manage a clean sheet on Wednesday and with Saido scoring twice at the Hawthorns in the original game, we feel that he will get amongst the goals at London Road. Back Saido Berahino on the Anytime Goalscorer market at 8/5 with Bet365.
