Norwich City v West Ham betting tips – Canaries set for hammering
West Ham will be taking no prisoners at Carrow Road this weekend
February 12th, 2016
Things went from bad to worse at the weekend for the Canaries when they returned from the West Midlands on the back of a 2-0 defeat to struggling Aston Villa.
This result pushed Alex Neil’s men into the relegation zone where they sit a single point from safety. If they thought Aston Villa were tough, they will be in for an even bigger shock when high-flying West Ham come to town on Saturday afternoon.
The Hammers are thoroughly enjoying themselves at the moment with some excellent performances delivered, not least their FA Cup fourth round win over Liverpool on Tuesday evening, the third time they have put the Reds to the sword since the start of the campaign.
A 1-0 defeat to Southampton on the South Coast was just one of two Premier League defeats that the Hammers have suffered in their last fifteen games, the other loss being away to Newcastle United in January.
We’re not expecting another defeat for the East Londoners in this encounter and despite enjoying the advantage of being at home, Norwich City start as underdogs with William Hill going 6/4 for a Canaries victory over a Hammers side which will be confident of finishing the season with a top five position.
Indeed, the timing of this visit to Norwich could be considered perfect timing for West Ham, given that they have been performing very well away from the Boleyn Ground. With six successive defeats, Norwich City are in a dire position in the bottom three and their situation won’t be improving this weekend, therefore we’ll be going for a Hammers win-to-nil at 9/2 with BetVictor, a great price for a Hammers outfit enjoying some decent results of late.
