Norwich City v Bolton Wanderers tips – stuttering Canaries there to be shot at
Norwich are woeful value to beat Bolton after failing to win any of their last five
October 29th, 2014
Neil Lennon has played down his team’s chances of victory at Carrow Road on Friday night although the former Celtic boss must secretly be confident that Bolton can continue their upward trajectory by landing three precious points.
Since taking charge, the Lancashire side have picked up a couple of home wins and they were narrowly beaten at Charlton despite having lots of the play, with Lennon now looking to see how Wanderers fare against a side who were in the Premier League last term.
“I’m cautiously optimistic going forward,” said Lennon.
“But we have Norwich and Cardiff to come, who were Premier League teams last year, so this will really show us where we are after these two games.
“We may lose them – there would be no disgrace in that – but I think the players are starting to get the message and they’ve really got the bit between their teeth now so it’s going to be a great test for us in both of those games.”
Bolton are an 11/2 chance to claim victory with bet365 and that looks a tasty price, with Saturday’s 3-1 victory at Brentford illustrating that Lennon is having a positive impact after Dougie Freedman failed to rouse this sleeping giant from a slumber.
Norwich have actually managed just two wins from their seven games at Carrow Road and recent results have been especially disappointing, with supporters questioning whether Neil Adams is the man to lead the Canaries forward.
No wins in the last five games means that we really need to swerve City in this game and plump for the visitors along with the draw.
