Newcastle were terrible, now they are great and soon they will be terrible again.

Football opinions are now pretty black and white, a bit like the United shirts, with Alan Pardew having seen his team produce an upsurge in form which has even taken him by surprise.

The Tyneside club sit eighth in the Premier League table following an autumnal purple patch, with five straight wins registered in all competitions although they will play Saturday’s match without the injured Fabricio Coloccini.

The Argentine has been a key figure in the Newcastle revival and will deny the home side of their best defender against a team who are now producing the sort of performances which suggest that QPR might remain a top flight outfit for longer than a season.

Betfair go 19/5 about an away win for Rangers, with Charlie Austin in red-hot form for the Hoops and we really like the idea of backing QPR and the Draw at 21/20.

After all, a 2-2 draw against Manchester City a fortnight ago saw Rangers play the better football after narrowly being beaten at Stamford Bridge, with Harry Redknapp having produced a change in fortunes in a short space of time.

Eduardo Vargas should help the visitors to at least a point against a side who haven’t suddenly become world-beaters, with Ayoze Perez looking to score for the fourth game running.

The Spaniard arrived in the summer from Tenerife for £1 million although Austin is even more on fire and we can back the Englishman to score with confidence.
