Newcastle United v Leicester City preview – Back both teams to score
Jamie Vardy can continue scoring for the Foxes this weekend
November 19th, 2015
There are no signs that the Leicester City bubble is about to burst any time soon with Claudio Ranieri’s side just a single point adrift of joint Premier League leaders Manchester City and Arsenal. Now that the international break is behind us, can the Foxes continue in their lofty position when they make the journey to St James’ Park on Saturday afternoon?
We don’t see any reason why not. Indeed, Leicester have shown plenty of resolve of late by clawing their way back from losing positions and their key striker Jamie Vardy has been banging in the goals with abandon, therefore you would think that this weekend’s result would be easy enough to predict – a Leicester City win.
Nevertheless, despite the fact that the Foxes have as yet been unbeaten away from home, they have been something of a mixed bag with three draws and three wins on the road. Their Premier League goals-against record isn’t all that much better than Newcastle United’s despite their vastly different positions in the league table.
As such, we’ll be avoiding the outright winner market and instead will be backing both teams to score with 888sport going 5/9 for such an outcome. Naturally we can’t ignore the anytime goalscorer market either and with Jamie Vardy enjoying an excellent run of record-setting goals, we’ll be backing the Premier League top-scorer to add to his amazing season total of twelve by finding the back of the net at St James’ Park this weekend. Back Jamie Vardy at 6/5 with Bet365 to score anytime on Saturday.
