Newcastle United v Chelsea tips – Blues will win to nil
Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea are watertight in defence and should shut out the Magpies
December 5th, 2014
Moussa Sissoko returns to the Newcastle United team for Saturday’s lunchtime clash against Chelsea, with the midfielder having been suspended for the 1-1 draw at Burnley after receiving a red card at West Ham.
Alan Pardew feels as though Sissoko’s return to the first team is timely, with Chelsea likely to keep special tabs on a player who has been making the Magpies tick this season.
“I think Moussa does owe the team a little bit if I’m honest,” Newcastle’s manager said. “That sending off was needless and he would possibly be the first to admit it. On the other hand, if there’s one player Chelsea will have a close eye on it is Moussa – and I know how thorough Mourinho is with his preparations.
“Moussa’s been absolutely superb for us this season – and I’m looking for a big game from him.”
Even so, it could be Sissoko who is a busy figure trying to stop the likes of Eden Hazard and Oscar playing, with Diego Costa back from suspension and we like the idea of Chelsea winning this game without reply.
Gary Cahill’s head injury on Wednesday is nothing serious, with the England centre-half forming a solid alliance with John Terry and Chelsea have now kept three consecutive clean sheets.
