Millwall v Bradford City tips – Lions looking good for promotion to Championship
Millwall hold an advantage from the first leg and will look to make this count tonight
May 20th, 2016
The Lions enjoy a healthy two-goal lead from their first-leg clash in this League One semi-final and they will be pushing to press home this advantage when they welcome Bradford City to the Den this evening.
Millwall went a goal behind at Valley Parade on Sunday, however they fought back and went in 3-1 winners at the final whistle, giving the Bantams a massive mountain to climb in South-east London tonight.
The Lions have enjoyed an excellent season which has seen them hover around the top six since early in the campaign and they have continued this decent form into the play-offs. As such, the home side start this match as firm favourites with William Hill going 5/4 for a Millwall victory and Bradford City 5/2 with Paddy Power to win.
The Den is certain to be packed to the rafters tonight and the visitors will have little choice but to ‘give it a go’, and while the previous meeting between these sides earlier in the season returned a goal-less draw at the Den, we’re not anticipating that we’ll witness a similarly low-scoring encounter this time around.
Bradford will look to draw first blood and reduce Millwall’s advantage to a single goal, however adopting this approach will leave them vulnerable to a counter-attack and a Lions goal could effectively put this tie out of reach for the visitors. Nevertheless, it should make for an entertaining end-to-end encounter and as such, we’ll be going for Both Teams to Score at 10/11 with Sky Bet.
The home side possess a prolific partnership in Steve Morison and Lee Gregory, these players between them managing 38 goals this term. Of the two, we’ll be siding with Morison to score anytime at odds of 7/4 with Coral.
