Manchester United have been criticised for not signing more defenders during the summer transfer window, although the Red Devils are keeping things tight at the moment, conceding just once in the last three games.

Saturday’s 3-0 win against Hull City saw United produce their best performance of the campaign and Van Gaal’s team look like banker material at 4/9 with bet365 considering their current form.

Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie both found the net at the weekend, with the former clicking into gear ahead of a match against a Stoke side who were slightly unlucky not to claim a point at Anfield on Saturday.

Nevertheless, it’s a tall order to see the Potters get anything from this encounter, with Mark Hughes returning to his old stomping ground hoping to cage the United attacking players.

Stoke sit 12th in the Premier League table and they generally keep things tight on the road, having previously landed a 1-0 victory at the Etihad Stadium and also a 2-0 win at White Hart Lane.

However, a lack of goals from City means that we can back the United win to nil with a degree of confidence at 29/20 with BetVictor, with Marcos Rojo returning to a defence which looks pretty tight in front of David de Gea.

Michael Carrick and Chris Smalling are expected to flank the Argentine at the back, with correct score bets of 1-0 and 2-0 looking like potential winners as Stoke look to defend rather than attack.
