The Red Devils boosted their chances of finishing the season as one of the Premier League top-four at the weekend and they can further boost their Champions League ambitions by winning at home to the Eagles tonight.

Indeed, Louis van Gaal’s men are still very much in with a chance of further closing the gap on third-placed Arsenal tonight, the Gunners not in action until tomorrow evening when they face West Brom at the Emirates Stadium. United’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa at the weekend may have been far from convincing, however a win is a win and while it condemned the Villans to the inevitable drop to the Championship, more importantly for United it lifted them to just four points adrift of Arsenal.

Can Van Gaal’s men build on this win with another against the Eagles tonight? They certainly can and despite being utterly unconvincing against Villa in their last outing, we expect a more thorough performance against a Palace side which held the Gunners to a 1-1 draw last weekend.

As well as holding Arsenal to a draw on Sunday, Alan Pardew’s Eagles have also taken points off such sides as Everton and West Ham, therefore they are clearly more than capable of making life difficult for Manchester United at Old Trafford this evening. Nevertheless, the Red Devils have been solid in front of their home fans this term and for that reason alone we’ll be backing them to seal the points tonight at odds of 4/9 with William Hill.

You’re not going to get rich on such odds however, therefore with United conceding a mere seven Premier League goals at Old Trafford since the start of the season, we’ll be backing them to win-to-nil at 11/10 with Paddy Power.

Looking at goalscorers, Marcus Rashford is the name on nearly everyone’s lips and with the teenager back amongst the goals of late, we’ll be backing him to score anytime tonight at odds of 7/5 with Winner.
