Swansea City sit only three points behind their opponents ahead of Saturday’s match at the Etihad Stadium and Garry Monk might fancy landing three points in Manchester for the second time this season.

The Swans beat Manchester United on the opening day of the campaign and also triumphed against Arsenal in their last game, so a trip to Eastlands isn’t going to be daunting, especially when you consider the English champions have won just one game in their last six.

That was a 1-0 derby victory which was handed to them on a plate when Chris Smalling committed two acts of idiocy in the first half, with all the pressure on Manuel Pellegrini’s side considering they trail Chelsea by eight points.

Bet365 go 2/5 about a home win and that is clearly the most likely outcome, although Swansea aren’t easily beaten, with the Welsh side serving it up to Chelsea at the Bridge before losing 4-2, while a 2-1 defeat at Stoke was also unfortunate.

Boylesports offer 4/5 about Swansea with a +2 goal start and that looks pretty attractive considering this covers a win for the visitors, a draw and a defeat by the odd goal.

Wilfried Bony should be a battering ram for the Swans, with Gylfi Sigurdsson expected to pull the strings in midfield, while a defence marshalled by Ashley Williams should perform well against Sergio Aguero.

Naturally, Aguero is a class act and bet365 go 3/1 about him scoring the first goal of the game, although it is noticeable that the same firm offer 18/1 about James Milner who has been featuring for his team prominently this term.
