Manchester City host a struggling Norwich City side at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday evening, confident of managing three wins from their last four outings.

The Manchester derby last weekend presented manager Manuel Pellegrini with a few concerns regarding the effectiveness of his forwards in the absence of Sergio Aguero, however he will have been pleased with his side’s defensiveness on the road.

Vincent Komapny effectively kept Wayne Rooney silenced while partner Nicolas Otamendi displayed an impressive performance at Old Trafford and the City faithful will be happy with what they saw as their side managed to thwart most of the forward moves by the hosts, despite United enjoying superior possession throughout the match.

That solidity in defence should install plenty of confidence in the side ahead of the visit of a Norwich City side which is seriously struggling at the moment.

Life in the top flight is starting to take its toll on Alex Neil and he will be a worried man following just two wins from the opening ten Premier League matches, the Canaries currently sitting just three points above the relegation zone in 16th position.

Goals aren’t the principal concern for the Canaries, given that they have managed to find the back of the net 14 times in 10 Premier League games, however they have conceded 21 with not a single clean-sheet to their name and they will desperately need to find some confidence ahead of forthcoming matches against Chelsea and Arsenal in November.

Will they find this confidence in tomorrow’s match? We certainly don’t think so and they will struggle against a City side who will dominate both in attack as well as defence. The Citizens will be confident of breaking down the Norwich rearguard given that the Canaries’ record in defence is not exactly great and as such, we have no hesitation in backing a comprehensive win for the hosts on Saturday.

BETTING TIP – Manchester City win, over 4.5 goals – Betfair  3/1
