Liverpool v Sunderland tips: Back goals for both sides at Anfield
Could it be that Sunderland have awakened from their early season slumber?
November 25th, 2016
To be honest we didn’t expect too much from Sunderland prior to the start of the season and they haven’t proven us wrong so far, however the Black Cats have recently breathed new life into their campaign courtesy of their consecutive wins over both Bournemouth and Hull City. Will this resurgence continue when they visit Anfield on Saturday afternoon?
Indeed it won’t and we expect things to return to normal when Sunderland go head-to-head with a Reds side which are now unbeaten in some thirteen outings across all competitions.
Jurgen Klopp’s men were held to a goal-less draw at St Mary’s last weekend but this result was on the back of a four-game winning run and with the hosts enjoying an excellent record at Anfield of late with five wins and a draw from their last six matches, we have no hesitation whatsoever in backing a relatively comfortable Reds victory.
The Reds may be clear favourites across the bookmakers but odds of 1/6 are hardly going to make you rich, however Sunderland have been managing to find a few goals of late and with five in their last two outings we believe that they can grab themselves a consolation goal at Anfield on Saturday afternoon. After all, the hosts have only kept four clean sheets since the start of the season and only two of these were in the Premier League.
