Liverpool v Leicester City tips – Anfield nightmare for Klopp’s Reds
Liverpool's dismal season will get worse this weekend when the Foxes come to town
September 9th, 2016
Both Liverpool and Leicester City have failed to impress so far this season with a mixed bag of results leaving both sides floundering in mid-table after the opening five games. Indeed, with Chelsea and both Manchester teams sitting on maximum points at the top of the Premier League table, we are already getting glimpses of how the landscape might lie later in the season.
For this very reason, Leicester City and Liverpool will be desperate to clinch the three points in Saturday evening’s match after each dropping five points after three matches. The Reds are clear favourites at 7/10 with William Hill to win at Anfield this weekend, however we really cannot ignore the generous 5/1 with the same bookie for an away win.
Liverpool’s 2-0 defeat at Burnley was an utterly abysmal result and Leicester City had a nightmare of their own in the opening-day 2-1 defeat to newly-promoted Hull City. Nevertheless, Liverpool possess no shortage of in-form players such as Philippe Coutinho, Adam Lallana and Sadio Mane – players who will no doubt cause Leicester all sorts of problems. The Foxes have a couple of in-form players of their own such as Christian Fuchs and Danny Drinkwater and as such, we should expect a few goals in this match.
Liverpool have scored ten goals with six conceded in their last four outings while Leicester have banged in five and conceded four. With this in mind, goals-galore could be the way forward in this match with the Under/Over market a good way of snatching some money from the bookies.
Over 3.5 goals would get you 2/1 with BetVictor, however even a more cautious ‘Over 2.5’ is worth odds of 8/11 with Ladbrokes, a decent price which should provide a winning return.
