Liverpool v Bordeaux betting tips – Europa League win for Reds
Three Europa League points await Liverpool tonight
November 26th, 2015
Confidence will be sky-high in the Liverpool camp ahead of this Europa League Group B clash with Ligue 1 side Bordeaux following some excellent recent results for the Reds. Indeed, Jurgen Klopp has had a rather mixed-bag of results in his short time at Anfield, however he has steered his side to impressive away wins against Chelsea and Manchester City.
The 4-1 victory at City’s Etihad Stadium at the weekend will no doubt have been extremely morale-boosting and we expect the Reds to put in a similar performance when Bordeaux head to town this evening, the bookies expecting similar things with William Hill going 1/2 for Liverpool to seal the three points in front of their home fans.
Bordeaux sit three points behind Liverpool in third position and desperately need the win which would keep alive their hopes of qualification for the last 32 of the competition. Indeed, defeat at Anfield would see them exit the tournament while a draw would leave them needing other results to go very much their way.
The visitors have been struggling in the French domestic league and consistency has been severely lacking this season. They sit firmly in the bottom half of the Ligue 1 table with their results away from home being their main cause for concern. As such, Bordeaux start this match as 8/1 outsiders with Bet365.
Indeed, given that the visitors have been conceding goals with reckless abandon in their domestic league, we anticipate a comprehensive victory for a Liverpool side who caused Manchester City so many problems at the weekend.
Saying that, we expect Klopp to rest a few key players for this clash and another opportunity could arise for 19-year-old Jordan Ibe to shine as he did in his last Europa League outing. Ibe is 9/4 with BetVictor to score anytime against Bordeaux.
For the hosts, this match represents an ideal chance to secure qualification for the last 32 of the Europa League and we fully expect them to do just that at Anfield tonight.
