Liverpool’s injury list is extensive at the moment. Indeed it would probably be easier to make a list of which first-team players are actually fit as opposed to who is missing. With this in mind, manager Jurgen Klopp made the decision to rest several of his remaining key players for the FA Cup third-round clash with League Two outfit Exeter City, although this very nearly resulted in the Reds being knocked out of the competition.

Klopp will undoubtedly name a much stronger side for the visit of table-toppers Arsenal for this midweek clash, although the likes of Dejan Lovren, Philippe Coutinho, Divock Origi, Jordan henderson, Daniel Sturridge and Martin Skrtel will be sitting this one out.

Will this have an impact on Wednesday evening’s outcome? You bet it will and Arsenal will be going all out to capitalise on the home side’s misfortunes. The Gunners may be struggling with a few injury worries of their own, however they appear to be managing okay on that front, given that they are sitting securely at the top of the Premier League table.

Despite Leicester City and Manchester City still breathing down their necks, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger will be highly confident that his men can continue in winning ways at Anfield, given that they have won five of their last six outings in the top flight. As such, we have no hesitation in backing an Arsenal win at 6/4 with William Hill.

The last meeting between these sides produced a 0-0 draw in August, although both sides had numerous chances to break the deadlock and it was only some excellent goalkeeping from both keepers which prevented some net-bulging on that occasion. We expect them to be kept similarly busy on Wednesday evening, however we feel that they will be beaten and with that in mind, we’ll be going for Sky Bet’s 4/5 for over 2.5 goals.
