Leicester City supporters were on cloud nine after a 1-0 victory at the Britannia Stadium was followed up by an amazing 5-3 win against Manchester United in September, although things have gone pear-shaped for the Foxes since then.

Just one point has been gleaned from the past four matches and, while three of these games were on the road, it has left the Foxes teetering above the relegation zone going into Saturday’s Midlands derby against a West Brom side who will represent a stern challenge.

Nigel Pearson will want his team to go back to basics after a 2-2 draw with Burnley in their last match at the King Power Stadium and a clean sheet will be the basic requirement for a side who have been far too open.

William Hill offer 5/4 about a win for Leicester and we should note that they have held Everton and Arsenal to draws at home this season before the dramatic games against Manchester United and the Clarets.

West Brom were knocked out of the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night and look set to be an unpredictable side in the Premier League this term as 2-2 home draws against Manchester United and Crystal Palace have testified.

Alan Irvine has a great forward in the shape of Saido Berahino and the team play with super commitment although they are ultimately one of the teams with the lowest wage bills and there isn’t huge quality in the squad.

We’re going for a low-scoring match which will be edged by a Leicester side who will want to achieve the defensive stubbornness that saw them over the line at a canter in last season’s Championship.
