Leeds United v Rotherham United preview – More misery for Millers
Leeds boss Steve Evans will look to pile the pressure on his former employers on Saturday afternoon.
November 18th, 2015
Steve Evans was sacked by Rotherham United in late September but he has turned things around at Elland Road since his appointment at Leeds United last month and will be confident of getting his revenge on his former employers when the two sides clash on Saturday afternoon.
Evans steered the Millers to two promotions and while his new club may not be threatening the Championship play-off places as yet, he has certainly turned things around at Elland Road since his arrival.
This weekend’s match will be his six in charge of Leeds United in the Championship and with the Whites suffering just one defeat in their last five league outings, they will be in high spirits heading into this encounter. Evans’ first win for Leeds came when they defeated Cardiff at home and they followed that with a comprehensive 3-0 win against rivals Huddersfield with Chris Wood, Alex Mowatt and Mirco Antenucci scoring the goals for the Whites. Leeds to win on Saturday is 37/40 with BetVictor.
Rotherham aren’t enjoying their season quite as much, given that they are rock bottom of the Championship table following a dreadful campaign which has seen them clinch just two wins since the season began.
Their last victory came in the 2-0 win at Birmingham City and they have since failed to manage a single win in their last seven outings, their latest Championship game ending in a 5-2 defeat at the hands of Ipswich Town. We don’t expect this poor run to end this weekend and this is reflected in the bookies’ prices with Rotherham up for grabs at 7/2 with Paddy Power.
To conclude, Leeds United have improved since the arrival of Steve Evans and will dominate on Saturday again st a Millers side who already look consigned to relegation down to League One.
