Leeds United v Blackburn Rovers tips: Back goals at Elland Road
Goals could be the order of the day when Leeds and Blackburn clash at Elland Road
September 19th, 2016
Leeds United and Blackburn Rovers met just last week with the Elland Road outfit winning 2-1 and whilst the bookies are confidently predicting another win for Leeds United, it might not be quite that easy in the EFL Cup on Tuesday evening.
Leeds have conceded eleven goals in their eight Championship matches this term and as such cannot be backed with any confidence whatsoever at odds of just above Evens, however what the Whites can be trusted to do is find the net. Indeed, five of Leeds United’s matches since the start of the season have involved at least three goals and we’ll be backing a repeat of this when Blackburn Rovers come to town.
Rovers will be in pretty high spirits following their impressive weekend display in which they demolished Rotherham United to the tune of 4-2 and Owen Coyle’s men have certainly been amongst the goals since the start of the season with all but two of their ten games across all competitions returning at least three goals.
Rovers will be confident of finding a way past the Leeds rearguard and we believe that it will be more about how many goals each team will score rather than whether or not they can keep their respective opponents at bay. A five or six-goal thriller isn’t out of the question and odds of 11/4 with William Hill for Over 3.5 goals smacks of excellent value.
