Inter Milan v Hapoel Be’er Sheva tips: Serie A side to dominate at San Siro
Inter Milan should encounter few problems when they host Hapoel Be'er Sheva on Thursday evening
September 14th, 2016
Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva are in this season’s Europa League thanks to their failure in the Champions League. The Israelis dropped out of Europe’s top-tier competition after failing to make it through the group stages of the tournament.
Hapoel lost in their two-legged play-off match against Scottish champions Celtic by just a single goal after clawing their back from 5-2 down in the first leg at Parkhead to win 2-0 at home in the return match.
Nevertheless, despite capitulating in the east end of Glasgow in what was an extremely one-sided affair, the Israeli champions are at least still in European competition. That said, things won’t be getting any easier in their opening Europa League match on Thursday evening.
Hapoel find themselves in a tough group alongside Sparta Prague, Southampton and Inter Milan, the latter certain to provide them with hefty opposition in their midweek outing.
Could this be another hiding for the Israelis? We think that it could well be and whilst they found it hard to deal with Celtic and the Parkhead crowd, we don’t for a second imagine that they will deal with a full and noisy San Siro Stadium and the likes of Gabigol, Eber and Mauro Icardi.
This will be a very long evening for Hapoel Be’er Sheva and we’ll be expecting a goal-fest but mainly just for the home side.
