Hull City v Southampton tips – high-scoring match on the cards
A free-scoring Saints team head to the KC Stadium to face a new-look Tigers side finding the net plenty of times
October 30th, 2014
Ronald Koeman has been like King Midas since arriving as the new manager of Southampton, with the Dutchman currently representing an upgrade on Mauricio Pochettino at this early stage of the campaign.
Southampton’s latest victory came at the Britannia Stadium in the Capital One Cup on Wednesday, where the visitors weathered a Stoke comeback to win the tie 3-2 and they will be bidding to remain second in the table on Saturday.
Paddy Power make the Saints the 11/10 favourites to win this game and they have lots of momentum coming into this match, although Hull are no mugs in front of their own supporters and have had additional preparation time for the game.
Steve Bruce’s side engineered a draw at Anfield last weekend and they have been full of goals this season, registering a 2-2 draw at the Emirates recently while Manchester City are the only team to win at the KC Stadium.
Indeed, that is the only defeat the Tigers have suffered all season and they can take something out of Saturday’s game, with Hull probably overpriced at 29/10 to beat opponents who surely can’t sustain such a points per game ratio for the entire campaign.
The better bet could be to take the home side on the Draw No Bet market and also back the 2-2 correct score considering that Hull have had three of these in the past seven games.
