Hartlepool United v Blyth Spartans preview and tips – back Green Army
Blyth Spartans thrashed Altrincham in the last round of the FA Cup
December 5th, 2014
We’re liking the look of Blyth Spartans to win this evening’s FA Cup second round clash, with the Green Army having made short work of Conference side Altrincham in the previous round.
A 4-1 victory illustrated that Blyth can raise their game against opposition playing at a higher level, although Hartlepool are in grave danger of dropping out of the Football League and are very much a Conference team in the making.
Therefore, perhaps the gulf isn’t too big between these sides and the fact that Pools are struggling badly means that the Spartans can land a positive result tonight which means a draw at the very least.
The Draw No Bet market means that we can back Blyth and get money back if the game ends all square, with Paul Murray knowing that Hartlepool face a tough task rousing a group of players who have lost the majority of their League Two matches this term.
