Germany v Scotland tips – 4/7 world champions to lead at half-time and full-time
The Germans set to land comfortable victory against the Scots on Sunday night

Gordon Strachan has done a commendable job since taking charge of the Scotland national team although the former Southampton and Middlesbrough manager is aware of the tall order that faces his team this weekend.
Germany are the champions of the world after claiming the World Cup in Brazil during the summer including a 7-1 thrashing of the hosts before winning the final in extra-time against Argentina.
Wednesday night’s 4-2 friendly reverse against the same opponents was no big surprise considering that Joachim Low rested several first-team players and we should see a different Germany side that lines up in this game.
“It will be a completely different team,” predicted the Scotland boss.
“It’s a competitive game and the Germans come alive when it becomes competitive.
“When the Germans have to compete, they are a different animal. I can’t remember the last time they didn’t qualify for anything.
“We expected free-flowing football, people trying to make an impression in this game,” Strachan said. “It was a celebration of football, a celebration of Germany’s win [in the World Cup final in Brazil].
“I thought Argentina were terrific as well. It was a wonderful game to watch from a neutral’s point of view but we didn’t take anything from it.
“When the Germans have to compete, they are a different animal. I can’t remember the last time they didn’t qualify for anything.”
Germany are a best price 1/6 to claim victory in this game but a more interesting price is the 4/7 with Ladbrokes about them leading at half-time and full-time in this encounter.
Scotland are an 18/1 chance to pull off the mother of all shocks in Dortmund, with the in-form Steven Naismith making strong claims for a starting berth after a fantastic opening to the season in an Everton shirt.
