Everton v West Ham betting preview – Back Hammers win at Goodison Park
The Toffees are struggling at home this season
March 4th, 2016
Everton’s 3-1 win over relegation-bound Aston Villa on Tuesday evening may not have been a huge surprise, however it saw Roberto Martinez’ men make a welcome return back to winning ways following a less-than-impressive run which saw them manage just two wins from their previous eight Premier League games.
The Toffees have been pretty abysmal at Goodison Park this season with just one league win since November and four home defeats during that time. We don’t envisage this poor form coming to an end when they face a strong Hammers side on Saturday afternoon, although this isn’t a vie that the bookies take, Everton starting as favourites with William Hill going 3/4 for a Toffees victory.
West Ham are flying high in the league at the moment and will be in high spirits following their excellent 1-0 home win over title-chasing Tottenham Hotspur on Wednesday evening.
The Hammers have suffered defeat in just one of their last nine matches with wins in four of their last five. They have performed impressively away from the Boleyn Ground and we feel that they can grab themselves all three points on Saturday afternoon.
Indeed, despite their lofty position in the Premier League and Everton’s poor home record, West Ham are a generous 17/4 with Winner.com to triumph on Merseyside this weekend, a price which we’ll gladly be helping ourselves to.
Nevertheless, the Toffees have been having few problems finding the net in recent outings and with the Toffees banging in fourteen goals in their last six outings in all competitions, we’ll be expecting them to get onto the scoresheet on Saturday afternoon. Back West Ham to win with both teams scoring at 15/2 with Coral.
