Everton v West Brom betting tips – Baggies revival set to continue
Tony Pulis looking to build on last week’s win against Hull for Goodison trip
January 19th, 2015
Everton enjoyed a return of 72 points from their 38 games last season although the Toffees have managed just five Premier League wins this term and there’s a fair degree of pressure coming into this match.
Roberto Martinez got a tune out of his Toffees players last week when they took West Ham to penalties in the FA Cup replay although it’s now all about getting points in the Premier League to avoid an unthinkable scrap against relegation.
Victory in this match would move the Merseysiders six points clear of the drop zone, although odds of 17/20 look a touch skinny about a team who have won just three of their ten home games this term.
James McCarthy and Tim Howard are two notable absentees, while Aidan McGeady will be suspended after a red card against the Hammers last week.
Tony Pulis is looking to keep more clean sheets after his team beat Hull City last weekend and former Everton defender Joleon Lescott will be motivated against several of his former team-mates.
The Baggies will operate a safety-first approach and not give goals away cheaply, with Pulis eyeing a chance to put daylight between Albion and the bottom three.
Ultimately, we’re expecting a cagey game featuring the odd goal and we like the look of a draw along with potentially no goals on the cards.
