Everton v Swansea City tips – Barkley set to shine for Toffees
Ross Barkley can help Everton gain revenge against Roberto Martinez’s former club
October 29th, 2014
Everton endured a slow start to the season although they weren’t blessed with easy fixtures and the 2-2 draw against Arsenal coupled with a 6-3 reverse at the hands of Chelsea saw the Toffees play some great football with little reward.
Roberto Martinez had addressed defensive issues since then and while Everton continue to ship the odd goal at the back, they are more than compensating by scoring plenty at the right end.
Samuel Eto’o and Romelu Lukaku were too hot for Burnley to handle on Sunday, with Ross Barkley set to return to the starting line-up against the Swans as Roberto Martinez looks to fold the England international back into matters.
Bet365 go 8/11 about a win for the home team and they should have too much quality for a Swansea side who threw away the lead and the game against Liverpool in the Capital One Cup on Tuesday night.
The Welsh side easily beat Leicester last weekend although they are flimsier on the road and rely too much on the invention of Gylfi Sigurdsson in the middle of the park, with the Icelander having been deemed surplus to requirements at Tottenham last summer.
Watch out for Seamus Coleman and Leighton Baines bombing forward from the full-back positions, with the former having already found the net on three occasions this term and he’s an exciting bet to have for First Goalscorer.
