Everton v Arsenal tips: Another three points await Gunners at Goodison Park
Arsenal will keep the pressure on Premier League leaders Chelsea by sealing maximum points at Goodison park on Tuesday evening.

Arsenal were pretty much written off as title contenders following their opening-day 4-3 defeat to Liverpool, however their response to that disappointing result has been emphatic with Arsene Wenger’s side embarking on a fourteen-match unbeaten run in the league which has ensured that they have maintained the pressure on Chelsea at the top of the table. Indeed the Gunners have lost just twice in their 23 matches in all competitions and are in the knockout stages of the Champions League having topped their group. Impressive stuff.
Arsenal’s latest outing ended in a 3-1 win over Stoke City at the Emirates Stadium, the visitors going ahead through the efforts of Charlie Adam but Theo Walcott pulling the Gunners level before goals from Mesut Ozil and Alex Iwobi made sure of the points after the break.
“Psychologically it is difficult to win when you have to win, when everybody expects you to win,” Wenger said after the win. “I believe that we want to build a momentum and when everyone expects you to win the game, you want to win it – especially at home.
“When you analyse last season, at home we did very well against the top five and dropped points at home against teams in mid-table. That is our challenge this year, to continue to do well against the top teams but as well in these kind of games, like Stoke today, where you have to win and we dropped some points last year.”
Arsenal therefore head into Tuesday night’s match at Goodison Park on the back of a three-game winning run and we’ll be backing them to make it four on the bounce this week. The Toffees have managed just a solitary win in their last ten attempts although whilst they may be struggling somewhat, they have remained pretty solid at home with no home defeats since the start of the campaign. Saying that they haven’t been up against any of the ‘big four’ at Goodison Park this season and the Gunners will present them with a tough challenge on Tuesday. Indeed Arsenal have been enjoying some excellent form on the road this term and we’re of the opinion that Wenger’s men will to their points tally on Merseyside.
The hosts should manage to grab themselves a consolation goal in what looks set to be a home defeat, however on the goalscorer front we’ll be looking to Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, the Chilean enjoying some top form of late with 13 goals in all competitions this season, nine of these coming away from the Emirates.
