England v Switzerland Tips – No stopping the Three Lions tonight
Wayne Rooney can fire his way into the record books and maintain England's perfect record tonight
September 8th, 2015
Who can argue with England’s performances in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign? Seven victories from their seven Group E games would suggest that a win is a mere formality this evening and a finish in top spot is looking extremely likely, however can the Swiss spoil the Wembley party tonight?
England are very backable at 4/5 to triumph tonight in front of what will be a packed and very noisy Wembley Stadium. Indeed, Hodgson’s men are already through to next year’s finals in France, although the main focus will now be on preserving their perfect record in the competition.
They are so close, but complacency cannot be allowed to set in and concentration is a must in tonight’s clash. Indeed, the Swiss will perhaps pose the greatest threat to the Three Lions in their remaining three matches, given that they have bounced back from their opening two defeats with an impressive run of five successive wins. As such, tonight’s visitors will be hugely confident of causing an upset at Wembley and spoiling the party in west London.
We don’t share any optimism they may have however. England are enjoying some excellent form at present and skipper Wayne Rooney will be searching for the goal which would see him overtake Sir Bobby Charlton as all-time top England scorer.
Can he get his name onto the scoresheet this evening? Can the Three Lions maintain their perfect record by winning in front of a packed Wembley? You bet!
