Arsenal haven’t exactly inspired this season, however they produced their best performance of the campaign last weekend with their 2-0 defeat of Stoke City at the Emirates Stadium. Arsene Wenger’s men dominated throughout the match and it was only some poor finishing and excellent goalkeeping which kept the scoreline relatively respectable.

Olivier Giroud and Theo Walcott both got themselves onto the scoresheet but in reality they should each have scored more than one apiece. This failure to capitalise will be a worry for the Gunners fans given their side’s failure to secure for themselves a proven goalscorer this summer. Nevertheless, we expect the North London side to manage a goal or two and we’ll be looking to Alexis Sanchez to put the Gunners ahead.

Sanchez is yet to score this season, however he is adept at getting himself into scoring positions and we feel that it will only be a matter of time before he grabs his first goal of the season. Indeed, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see a Sanchez goal coming in Croatia with Bet365 going 6/4 that he finds the back of the net anytime on Wednesday.

Arsenal possess a decent record away from home in Europe, winning all but four of their last eleven away games with just two defeats and as such, we fancy the Gunners to win by two goals in this midweek clash. Zagreb may be banging in the goals in their domestic league but Arsenal represent a substantial step up in quality and the North Londoners should manage a fourth successive clean-sheet.
